Seminar Information for 2014 conference:
There were 7 different seminars to choose from. One was specifically for secondary heads and leaders and one was specifically for primary heads and leaders. The remainder were for all phases.
In the first instance delegates must select ONE seminar from the following list:
Seminar 1 David Crossley Liberating Professional Capital
Making the most of the staff we have
Seminar 2 Christine Davies Effective Early Intervention and Early Help
This session draws on research and best practice about the role and work of schools in identifying need and which interventions are most effective (working with parents, other agencies and the wider community)
Seminar 3 David Cameron Traction and Momentum
All effective improvement requires traction so we need to ask the question "what do we have in place to give us a starting point and may allow us to build momentum? What do we need to do to increase momentum?"
Seminar 5 Dave King Preparing for OFSTED: Evaluating Your Partnerships
Seminar 6 Steve Iredale Primary Futures
A primary school project, led by the NAHT in partnership with the Education & Employers charity, and due to be rolled out across England in May 2014: innovative approaches linking schools to volunteers from the world of work and widening the horizons and aspirations of primary age children with regard to their own futures.
Seminar 7 Jonathan Hardwick Inspiring Futures: What lies ahead for school leavers?
Supporting students (and their parents) in uncertain times. A seminar for secondary school leaders.
